This comprehensive class is $25. Approximately 2-2.5 hours. Locations in Boise, and Nampa.
Just as birth is unpredictable, so to is postpartum; you never know what’s in store for you after baby arrives. Maybe something, maybe nothing, or maybe everything might happen all at once or in varying degrees, but knowing what to expect, what’s normal, and what your local resources are is the first step! We want you to thrive, not just survive your postpartum period.
We spend a lot of time building up the birth of our infants that little thought is given to what happens when you bring your baby home! Join licensed counselor, Megan Koehler, and postpartum doula, Soraya Mazloomi, as they walk you through the ins and outs of postpartum. This 2 hour class will discuss everything about normal healing and adjustment periods, including normal emotional, mental, sexual and physical symptoms that may occur. We discuss all things postpartum, including support systems, community resources, pelvic floor health, and having plans in place for difficult recoveries, and how relationship dynamics can change and how to have a stronger relationship after baby arrives.
An honest critique of the role of doulas and partners.
So you had a baby... and now you are wondering when you can get back to the old you?
The thought of venturing out feels nerve-racking but leaving the baby with your mother-in-law for a few hours? No way!
